In some fifty years in the book publishing business, I have served as editor, editorialdirector, or editor-in-chief at such publishing companies as St. Martin's Press, E.P. Dutton and Kodansha America, specializing in history, literature, music, and translations, with an international accent. Authors I have worked with include the Delany sisters, Mike Royko, Eric Kraft, Peter Guralnick, Barbara Pym, Jorge Luis Borges, Alexander Dubcek, Bill Griffith, Tiziano Terzani, Leon Botstein, Leonora Carrington (for whose estate I provide literary representation). As of September 2024 I am limiting my editing assistance to short-term consultations on selected projects.
